In September 2009, we filmed 'Escape to the Country' and Massington Lodge, (The Old Pumping Station) was one of the properties we were shown. We immediately fell in love with the house and grounds and proceeded to buy.

We moved here in February 2010 and refurbished Bluebell Lodge, our B&B annexe.

From early 2012, we had the addition of Woodland Retreat built in our grounds to give guests another choice of accommodation. In September 2013, our fully self contained Shephard's Retreat arrived, located overlooking the duck pond and provides an unusual romantic stay for two.

Nicki Chapman and film cameras returned to Massington Lodge in 2017 when we filmed 'I Escaped to the Country'.

We hope guests will enjoy the gardens and wildlife as much as we do and benefit from the location in which to explore the surrounding area.
